When a company sends email to a list (especially b2b lists) the server that sent the email will receive "verification emails" that requires a human to verify that you are a real live human being and not a bot or a spam source. This is usually caused by the software protecting the end-user. Approximately 20% of the email that we deploy needs verification. Rather than losing all of the valuable email contacts we have an executive in place to perform this repetitive task. If you do not verify a specific amount of email's, your ip will receive a bad reputation.
ISP caps: I consider myself lucky to work with such an intelligent technical team, that continuously goes the extra mile to ensure a place on the top of the industry, via discovering new advancements regarding online marketing technologies. In fact, it was our staff that discovered ISP caps and how to maneuver around them (an idea that was never previously thought or spoke about).
