list cleaning:
Well there is unsub central, brite verify and dcast as companies that handle suppressions and validation so you should take a look at each and let them know you spoke with me. Outside of that when you have clients that are interested in being certified we can pre-vet them and make sure they have been sending for at least 90-days. On the tools front, they can assist you pre and post delivery and let you know if the IP's are on any of the industry's DNBSBL's as well as get the reputation of those IP's.

A c-class as bigsky is $4,500 for the first month and every first month with a new c-class. Every month after in which you use the same c-class is $1,500 per month. The c-class comes with 256 ips. Mark suggests using 1 domain per 5 ips at first until you clean the list and establish a reputation. This means you would need 56 domains x $12 at goddady = $672 for the domains. One a domain gets a bad reputation you can not use it. Big sky has an antiblacklisting tool. It notifies you that one or more of your ips are critical and may become listed. Once you get the notification you have a chance to remove the ptr record from those domains and wait a couple of weeks for the ips to be clean again.

Carolinanet will have you register the ips in your name and you can not block the registrar information. It is not good because you are so transparent but it is good for whitelisting if you need feedback loops.

Trap cleansing Impressionwise $100 per million $5,000 for 50 million

Thank you for your interest in Impressionwise. As the old bulk messaging adage goes, “All good and bad comes from the data”. It is with this focus in mind that Impressionwise’s data hygiene services are designed to remove non-deliverable data elements while purging any email-based traps, secondary moles, and other third party oversight seeds. This service is designed to help minimize the number of email bounces, keep you off third party blacklists, and enhance the consistency and deliverability of the data provided.
Why ImpressionwiseWhile traditional black list comparison, which consists of your data being compared against a list of trap addresses is widely practiced, it is fundamentally flawed approach to removal of traps. These lists are relatively static and are only as good as the day the data was gathered.
The data used is compiled from unknown or unqualified third party sources – someone else’s opinion – and their data is often dated and flawed.

Impressionwise’s on-demand scanning is a new innovative approach in which your data records are scanned against a global view of real-time feedback at the time of the actual cleansing, utilizing no data from aged repositories (such as used by simple black list-based method to scrub against and repost). This type of cleansing model is based on self-learning rule sets designed to catch newly created traps or existing trap configuration changes as they happen. This process ensures a more effective cleansing with minimal to no false positives, in addition to gaining an unprecedented view and insight, revealing hidden aspects of your data not normally found with traditional scrubbing. All of this results in rich, comprehensive reporting of a highly deliverable address list.

Key Service Features
Impressionwise’s real-time scanning and reporting technology is based on empirical, policy-driven rule sets and scanning algorithms that use a multi-layered approach to identify and protect against a wide range of e-mail-based threats. Key cleansing system features include:
Core Cleansing Process
• Removal of direct traps, secondary mole traps, bot clickers,
quarantined elements, and third party oversight seeds, generally from numerous, publicly observed leading spam advisory and email traffic monitoring sites
• Managed anti-spam, network protected domains, or SaaS Threat
Classification (unknowing recipients turned into secondary moles or involuntary traps).
• Removal of invalid TLDs or top level domain extensions as
determined by IANA database (The Internet Assigned Numbers Authority)
• Removal of non-deliverable domains and email addresses (DNS
validation, parked and invalid TLDs and syntax error emails) based per RFC standards
• Duplicate address removal
• Foreign address separation or removal, sourced from known TLD
extensions, proprietary views as provided by domain registrars and Regional Internet Registries (AfriNIC, APNIC, ARIN, LACNIC, RIPE).
• Removal of departmentalized emails (info@ etc.)
• Self learning recipient address pattern algorithm for hard to find
HAMY (Hotmail, AOL, MSN, Yahoo) and other top provider traps
• Removal of mobile users (as sourced from the FTC DNE List)
• Litigious address removal – removal of companies and people who
purposely seed or have been known to historically sue
• Removal of addresses containing threat strings (bad words, known
trap phrases, names, etc.)
• Removal of industry known habitual complainers or screamers
• Character field removal – removal of leading and trailing spaces
within data fields

Reporting, Data Transfer and Deliverables
• Line Item Reporting (detailed documentation of what was searched
for, found, and removed) of any individual email address removed or labeled as non-deliverable from your list as part of the cleansing process is a must. Impressionwise strongly believes in producing a report show that we can stand behind referencing the data we purport to be trap free. See attached PDF document to view our List Profile Report.
• Automated Data Feed Processing – available via batched FTP or HTTP
post methods of data delivery for time sensitive data feeds. This service is designed for those clients who receive data on a regularly scheduled basis (such as hourly, daily or weekly) which allows 24/7 access to Impressionwise
cleaning services without the wait time of traditional processing. A
simple set up of data source location and format (per source location) will allow you to post multiple files in multiple formats at your convenience for an automated cleaning.
• The Deliverables - consisting of various data exports and
accompanying cleansing report. These counts reflected within the cleansing report should be commensurate with actual export counts to ensure integrity of cleansing process. In order to provide you with the most flexibility, Impressionwise provides you with separate exports (bad addresses, clean addresses, international addresses, etc) in a variety of popular delimited formats.

Getting Started
Impressiowise makes it easy for potential clients to evaluate our services by offering a complimentary scan of a sample set of your data of up to one million records in size. As a result of the scan, we will provide you with a detailed analysis identifying the exact cause of the individual spam traps/ non-deliverable elements with your data and probable cause(s) that may be affecting the deliverability of your messages. This report will help you gauge our service’s overall effectiveness as it relates to your own data.
